Experts weighed in on which artists they think will be making a big splash this year in 2015 in k-pop. The verdict: IU, EXID, and iKON.
According to a media report, 28 experts in the Korean entertainment industry -- from producers, talent agency executives, music critics, etc. -- were surveyed on which acts they were looking forward to with high expectations.
IU, EXID, and iKON all scored four votes each, putting them at #1. Following in second place, all with two votes each were EXO, SISTAR, A Pink, BlockB, BTOB, and Mamamoo.
The participants were then asked what they believed to be the most important issue to tackle in the music industry for the new year. The top three issues were "a need for more diversity in popular genres" (11 votes), "improvement of artist talent/skill" (four votes), and "diversification of stage performances, trying out new challenges" (three votes).
