Following the sentencing of the blackmail case-- involving Lee Byung-hun as the victim and GLAM's Da-hee and model Lee Ji-yeon as the defendants-- GLAM has officially disbanded.
According to the group's management Big Hit Entertainment, just shy of their third year mark, the group will be disbanding. GLAM's contract with Big Hit Entertainment and Source Music has already expired at the end of last year, and the members have decided to go their separate ways. Insiders have commented that the disbandment is most likely in part due to Dahee's incident.
Big Hit Entertainment also shared that though some of the members had some time left on their individual contracts, they requested early termination -- which Big Hit granted.
GLAM debuted in 2012 with the song "Party (XXO)". Dahee was recently sentenced with one year in prison for her involvement in blackmailing Lee Byung-hun for 5 billion won.
