After closing off membership for its official fanclub in 2008, Shinhwa will finally be opening it up again to gather fans for its 10th fanclub.
On January 5, Shinhwa unveiled what the mysterious symbol ′!′ stood for from its teaser photo released on January 1.
In a new photo, the ′!′ was replaced with ′10th Official Fanclub,′ sharing that the 10th group of Shinhwa′s official fanclub, Shinhwa Changjo, will be open for fans to join from January 9 to January 30.
"Shinhwa′s official fanclub, Shinhwa Changjo, will be opening up its 10th fanclub for recruitment. We′re very thankful for Shinhwa Changjo, who allows Shinhwa′s presence to shine, for not just its mature way of support, but also for showing a warm fandom culture with various donations while putting Shinhwa′s name in front," stated Shincom Entertainment.
"As the 10th fanclub, in particular, is opening up after seven years, we will reply to all the support with various benefits only for Shinhwa Changjo. We hope fans will show much interest and support for Shinhwa Changjo, 10th fanclub which will open up starting January 9."
Shinhwa Changjo was first created in 1998 with Shinhwa′s debut and has since been a prominent fanclub in the music industry. In 2007, Shinhwa Changjo was the first to donate rice wreaths at Shin Hye Sung′s exclusive concert, starting up donation support for artists that is seen often today.
Shinhwa Changjo has also built up the Shinhwa Forest in Gangnam with donations, in celebration of Shinhwa′s 15th anniversary.
