It would appear that EXO vocal, D.O, is continuing to impress with not only his singing skills, but his acting skills as well.
It was recently announced by KBS2 program, Entertainment Weekly that D.O., also known as Do Kyungsoo when acting, has received highest amount of expert and critic votes as the Number 1 Actor-Idol.
Many times, actor-idols are looked at quite skeptically as some wonder if they will have to skill to pull off lead acting roles in dramas and movies. Do Kyungsoo was compared with other talented actor-idols including Im Siwan of ZE:A who received the 2nd place award and A-Pink's Jung Eunji who secured 3rd place by dazzling everyone with her bashful role in the drama Trot Lovers.
Do Kyungsoo's acting abilities were complimented by the experts stating that "his growth rate is the fastest among idol actors."
Do Kyungsoo proved his abilities when he was first casted in the popular SBS drama "It's Okay, It's Love". Do Kyungsoo played the role of Han Kang Woo, the mental manifestation of schizophrenic author, Jang Jae Yeol played by talented and senior actor, Jo In Sung. Do Kyungsoo also starred alongside starred alongside respected actors Gong Hyo Jin, Sung Dong Il, and Lee Gwang Soo.
Most recently, Do Kyungsoo played the son of actress Yeom Jung Ah in the movie Cart. Cart made its first premier at the 2014 Toronto International Film Festival as well as the 19th Annual Busan International Film Festival and the 34th Hawaii International Film Festival. It was also revealed that Cart would be premiering in Austin, Texas on Monday, December 15th at the Galaxy Highland Movie Theatre. Cart seems to be gathering quite the amount of overseas recognition!
