Janet Krupin is one half of the electronic dance music duo Trillium.

The 26-year-old singer and her partner, Alex Caraballo, have been busy. Since Trillium dropped their first official music on YouTube on Aug. 2, the duo dropped a song a day leading up to packed performance at the Iron Bar for the "Aurora" after-movie release party.

She is also a huge K-pop fan, with a deep professional admiration of Hallyu choreography.

Earlier this week, the Trillium vocalist sat down with KpopStarz to discuss the dance moves of her favorite K-pop band, Girls' Generation, in an exclusive interview.

"The choreography is one of my favorite parts of Girls' Generation's videos," Krupin said.

"It reminds me of my days on the dance team in high school. I guess I could write a paper on the mystical power of a group of women dancing together in sync. I love it. I love it. I love it. My favorite style of dance is that classic uber-feminine kind of power-pop dancing."

The expert performer didn't discover Girls' Generation out of a professional curiosity. The connection the the K-pop group's music was much more visceral; it made her want to move.

"The first time I heard the 'I Got A Boy' single it made me dance on the subway so much that people stared, but I didn't care," Krupin recalled. "Their raw energy is so contagious."

But to Krupin, it's not just the fancy footwork that sets Girls' Generation apart

"Girls' Generation's style? Talk about Girl Power," she said. "It's sexy and fun and makes the viewer want to be a part of it."
