Big Bang’s G-Dragon donated 81.8 million won in celebration of his birthday.
YG Entertainment told Newsen on August 18, “It’s true that G-Dragon donated 81.8 million won to Seungil Hope Foundation.”
G-Dragon had also donated 81.8 million won for his birthday last year, setting an example to his fellow singers.
Seungil Hope Foundation is a foundation that was co-founded by Sean and a former pro basketball coach Park Seung Il, who is suffering from Lou Gehrig′s disease (ALS: amyotrophic lateral sclerosis).
Sean tweeted pictures of G-Dragon with Park Seung Il during a visit to the hospital last year.
Celebrating his birthday, G-Dragon’s fans are also participating in the donation relay.
Kwon Ji Yong supporters tweeted, ‘As we congratulate your birthday, we support the angels who dream by looking at you. Birthday donation 24 million won!’ along with a picture of a donation certificate while Always-GD and Number-G also donated 8.18 million won to Seungil Hope Foundation.
G-Dragon performed in AIA Real Life: NOW Festival 2014 along with the fellow Big Bang members and revealed, “We will try to release Big Bang’s album by this year.”
Big Bang will also be launching the 5-dome tour Big Bang Japan Dome Tour 2014, starting with the Nagoya concert on November 15 and 16. Big Bang will also be performing in Osaka, Fukuoka, Sapporo and Tokyo, meeting with 536,000 fans in five cities.
