Big Bang’s Taeyang began his solo tour concert in Japan.
On August 12 and 13, Taeyang launched Sol Japan Tour ‘Rise’ 2014 in Grand Cube, Osaka.
For the Japanese tour featuring performances of his solo songs, Taeyang participated in planning various aspects of the concert, including the stage set up, lighting, videos, band and more.
During the concert, Taeyang said, “I’ve wanted to present a concert for a long time. I wanted to launch a tour where I can become one with all of you in a small concert hall. Thank you!”
On August 13, Taeyang’s Japanese solo debut album Rise [+Solar & HOT] was also released, which immediately sold 41,090 copies on the day of its release, ranking number two on Oricon’s daily album chart. It also ranked number one on iTunes’ Pop Album chart, setting a good record for a start.
Taeyang’s Japanese solo debut album contains tracks from his first Korea album HOT and his first full length album Solar as well as the most recent album Rise.
Taeyang will continue his solo tour in Japan around six cities in the country, meeting with 70,000 fans through 13 concerts.
