Actor So Ji Sub will be transforming into a rapper as he plans on releasing a hip-hop album at the end of June. For this album, he will be collaborating with the famous hip-hop group, Soul Dive.
So Ji Sub is pretty well-known in the entertainment industry to be a big fan of hip-hop. During 2009, he performed as a singer under the name of G. Afterwards, he released a new song every two years and during 2011, he created a music video with Jung Joon Ha and Kim Byung Man.
Although he decided to make this surprising transformation for the fans, in the end, it was because of his passion for hip-hop.
During the press conference for “Master’s Sun,” he stated that, “There aren’t lot things that actors can do but I think music is one of the breakthroughs for actors. Producing music is fun and performing on stage is fun as well.”
With the release of his new song, So Ji Sub is planning to go on a Asia tour where he will be able to meet his fans overseas. On June 28, a concert will be held in Taiwan, and a fan meeting will be held on July 18 at Kobe, Japan and at Yokohama on July 21. The title of the fan meeting will be “Let’s Have Fun,” which is from, “Let’s have fun and love life.” This is also happens to be So Ji Sub’s life motto.
