Currently deep in legal issues with his ex-girlfriend, Kim Hyun Joong will be enlisting in the army.
On May 12, Kim Hyun Joong will be enlisting at the Recruit Traing Center of Army Division 30 in Goyang-si, where he′ll receive five weeks of basic training before he′s stationed for active duty.
Born in 1986, Kim Hyun Joong must serve in the military in 2015. Due to schedules abroad, he′s previously postponed his mandatory duties, but as it′s impossible to make any more postponements, he will be enlisting on May 12.
He leaves for the army as new legal issues have come to light on May 11 with his ex-girlfriend telling KBS Morning News Time, claiming that she had a miscarriage with his child when he assaulted her in 2014.
Kim Hyun Joong′s legal representative, Law Firm Cheongpa, stated, "Both the pregnancy and miscarriage have not been checked. Her claims are groundless."
"The ex-girlfriend claimed that after the abuse on May 30, 2014, she had a miscarriage on June 3. Kim Hyun Joong can′t check neither the pregnancy nor the miscarriage. Kim Hyun Joong′s ex-girlfriend received the settlement money of 600 million won and started a damage lawsuit with the reason of a (second) pregnancy and is currently making claims through the press."
The legal rep also added, "Choi is demanding a compensation and penalty fee of 1.6 billion won."
Due to the strong claims from both sides, the issue has gotten quite heated over time, but Kim Hyun Joong will still be enlisting in the army on May 12.
