The drama production company Group 8 will be co-producing the Chinese version of Full House.
Group 8 announced on October 17, “We’ll be joining hands with China’s Asia Media Holdings and co-produce the Chinese version of drama Full House.”
Based on the original comic series of the same name, Full House was made into a drama in 2004, starring Rain and Song Hye Kyo, earning the viewership rating of 40%.
The Chinese version of Full House will star U-KISS’s Eli as the male lead and will be directed by Lee Min Chul PD, who also directed JTBC’s Can’t Take It Anymore and tvN’s 21st Century Family.
The leading actress will be selected through an audition, taking place in Shanghai after the press conference is held on October 23.
The Chinese version of Full House will begin filming in December.
Meanwhile, Group 8 is one of the representative drama production companies in Korea, which has produced hit dramas such as Princess Hours, Boys Over Flowers, Couple or Trouble and more, and it has recently produced Naeil’s Cantabile, starring Joo Won and Shim Eun Kyung.
