Fans of the drama "Good Doctor" can look forward to a US version that's brewing in the works.
According to KBS, the US broadcast station CBS will be airing a remake of the hit drama "Good Doctor". This will be the first time a Korean drama remade into a US version will be aired on a major US network.
So far, the remake drama is set to air between 2015 and 2016. After the idea was pitched by CBS Studios, 3AD, and Entermedia, CBS has given the green light for the production. 3AD is the company founded by Korean-American actor Daniel Dae Kim from "Lost" and "Hawaii Five-o". Entermedia is a company that is known for adapting Korean dramas to US formats.
The writer for the American version will be Adele Lim, the same person behind the show "Star Crossroad". The US version will be set against the backdrop of a teaching hospital in Boston.
