2NE1′s Crush is Number One on Charts In and Out of Korea

Staying on top of the charts, 2NE1’s second album Crush is currently experience explosive popularity in and outside of Korea.

According to various charts on February 28 at 8 AM (KST), Come Back Home has been sitting at the number one spot on Melon, Olleh Music, Bugs, Mnet, Soribada, Daum Music, and Genie. On Monkey3 and Naver Music, Gotta Be You is also number one, meaning 2NE1’s songs are currently number on nine charts just in Korea.

2NE1’s album is also ranking number one on the iTunes charts of Brunei, Finland, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, and Hong Kong.

Being four years since 2NE1’s last official album release, YG Entertainment’s CEO, Yang Hyun Suk gave confidence that it’ll be the best album yet from the beginning tracks to the end.

Proving this statement, nine out of ten tracks from the album are visible in the Top 10 charts of different music sites (Mnet 6 songs, Melon 4 songs, Naver Music 9 songs, Daum Music 8 songs, Cyworld 3 songs, Bugs 9 songs, Soribada 9 songs, Monkey3 2 songs, Olleh music 6 songs, Genie 7 songs).

This 2NE1 album has also been praised as the rediscovery of CL, who participated in the making of songs Crush, If I were you, and Baby I Miss You. She’s also penned the lyrics for her solo songs MTBD and Scream. Composing three songs, and writing the lyrics to five in a 10-track album, CL displayed her ability as a singer songwriter.

All of CL’s songs have been gaining as much as love as the title songs, allowing people to praise CL’s potential to grow as a songwriter.

Meanwhile, 2NE1 will hold its All or Nothing concerts at the Seoul SK Olympic Handball Stadium on March 1 and 2, performing its newest songs.

The album will be released offline on March 7.
