LA Dodgers’ Ryu Hyun Jin is one very happy BOICE as he gets his official theme song written by CNBLUE’s Jung Yong Hwa himself.
The theme song, “Ryu Can Do It,” will be released May 28 through digital sites. It features the melody of CNBLUE’s “One Time” which is Ryu Hyun Jin’s favorite CNBLUE song, with different lyrics penned by Jung Yong Hwa.
Taking its title from Ryu Hyun Jin’s last name, the earlier parts of the song “Ryu Can Do It” takes its melody from the Arirang song and combines guitar riff throughout the track. The “Mr. Monster” mentioned in the lyrics is meant to be Ryu Hyun Jin.
Since April, the theme plays every time Ryu Hyun Jin enters the field at the LA Dodgers Stadium, raising great interest from baseball fans and lately, music fans as well.
“I really like it. I listen and sing to it in my car every time I go to and from the stadium,” said Ryu Hyun Jin about his official theme song.
Jung Yong Hwa will sing the Korean national anthem at the “Korea Night” which will be held before the LA Dodgers and Cincinnati Reds at the LA Dodgers Baseball Stadium on May 27, 6:30 p.m. At this event, retired Korean baseball player Park Chan Ho will be present, along with LA Dodgers’ “Korean Monster” Ryu Hyun Jin.
