TVXQ Max Changmin was Scared of U-Know Yunho When He First Joined SM

TVXQ Max Changmin revealed that he was scared of his fellow TVXQ member U-Know Yunho in the past.

During March 11’s broadcast of Mnet’s The Beatles Code 3D, Shin Dong Yup asked, “Someone who went through a lot of difficulties may not be so fond of those who didn’t go through any difficulty. Did U-Know Yunho give you a hard time in the beginning?”

Max Changmin answered, “Not that he gave me a hard time, but I could tell that he was being territorial when I first joined SM. Yunho hyung was scary and strict towards the hubae trainees.”

Then Yunho explained, “That was the time when teams were being formed and many trainees would quit and leave. Then Max Changmin, who played badminton before, joined the team all of a sudden. So I told him ‘If you came here to play, just quit now.’”

Max Changmin continued, “I thought he was strict to everyone younger than him. But he was really nice to Urban Zakapa’s Kwon Soon Il, when he was the same age as me. So I wondered, ‘Why is he only nice to him when we’re both younger?’ I tried to avoid him back then.”
