Ladies' Code Sojung Finally Told About Members EunB & RiSe, Comfort From Ashley & Zuny

Group LADIES CODE's member Sojung found out about member EunB's death and RiSe's critical condition, and reportedly burst into tears.

[UPDATE: RiSe has passed away at age 23]

According to a representative from Polaris on September 6, member Sojung found out about EunB and RiSe after her surgery. She burst into tears when she found out.

The representative said, "Sojung is in deep grief after finding out about her members. Members Ashley and Zuny comforted her a lot. The three are enduring this hard time together right now."

The representative also revealed that too much attention on this matter will become hurtful to the three members at the moment. He said, "They were hurt very much by this accident. Too much exposure of it on media could hurt them even more. As they are trying to fight this hardship well, I hope you can send her encouragements."

LADIES CODE got into a car accident on their way home on September 3. Member EunB passed away at the scene and RiSe has since passed away, four days after the tragic accident took place.

EunB's Funeral Leaves Her Friends And Family In Tears

 

Girl group Ladies Code EunB left her family and friends in tears.

On September 4, EunB's memorial took place at the Seoul Korea University Hospital. Her families and friends could not hide their tears and sadness.

She was cremated on September 5 and her remains will be in the Seoul Chumo Garden.

EunB passed away in a car accident on September 3. The van she was traveling in lost a back wheel, spun and hit a guardrail in the rain.

Another member, RiSe, had four surgeries since the accident but is still remains unconscious.

Ashley and Zuny suffered minor injuries, and Sojung, who was seriously injured, recently woke up after surgeries.

'Music Bank' Canceled This Week Due To A Baseball Game

Due to an exciting baseball game, KBS 2TV's 'Music Bank' is not going to be shown this week.

On September 4th,  Music Bank's official homepage read, "The September 5th (Friday) broadcast of 'Music Bank' will be canceled due to the live broadcast of a professional baseball game [in its time slot]."

In place of Music Bank, the network aired a heated match between the Doosan Bears and the LG Twins, two of Seoul's pro teams who happen to share the same venue, the Jamsil Baseball Stadium.

The Twins upset the Bear 5-3 as the game's airing likely upset many K-Pop fans.

Stick around for next week when Music Bank is expected to return to its normally scheduled time slot!

T-ara donated 1500kg of rice to celebrate Chuseok!

On September 5, it was reported that T-ara has donated 1500kg of rice to Hope Community.

It is in celebration of the upcoming Chuseok Festival which will be on the 8th of September this year, and here the photos of Boram, Hyomin and Qri who were there to represent the group.

′You Who Came From the Stars′ Wins Four Awards at Seoul International Drama Awards

You Who Came From the Stars ended up taking four awards by the end of the night at the Seoul International Drama Awards.

On September 4, the 2014 Seoul International Drama Awards (SDA) was held at the Haeorum Theater of the National Theater of Korea, where the France′s Kaboul Kitchen Season 2 took the Grand Prize.

The PD for Kaboul Kitchen stated, "Thank you very much. It′s such a great honor to receive this award. I am deeply grateful about the jury′s decision to give the grand prize to Kaboul Kitchen. It′s wonderful to know that people all around the world are sensitive to Kaboul Kitchen and appreciate the humor of the series."

At this ceremony, You Who Came From the Stars took home a total of four awards, including Kim Soo Hyun′s Outstanding Korean Actor Award and Popular Actor Award, as well as Excellent Korean Drama and Outstanding Korean Drama OST Award. Secret Love′s Kim Hee Ae was also acknowledged with the Outstanding Korean Actress Award.

With Shin Sung Rok and Jin Se Yeon hosting the ceremony, the SDA had 24 productions and 28 drama staff and actors in the nominees after receiving 209 submissions from over 50 countries.

GLAM's Dahee Planned To Flee Korea After Blackmailing Lee Byung Hun

GLAM member Dahee's attempt to blackmail Hallyu star Lee Byung Hun was meant to end with her leaving South Korea.

The girl group member and a friend have been arrested for threatening Lee Byung Hun with revealing videos of the three of them making dirty jokes and discussing intimate topics. Dahee and her friend threatened Lee Byung Hun with making the video public if he didn't pay them 5 billion KRW (around $5 million.)

Dahee and her associate had planned on leaving South Korea as soon as they received the money from Lee Byung Hun. His company, BH Entertainment, issued a statement, "This is a premeditated crime as the suspects schemed to steal from Lee Byung-hun and run off to another country, judging by the fact that they had already prepared passports to Europe. They asked for 5 billion won which refers to the special criminal law which can sentence them to up to 5 years in prison."

On August 28, Lee Byung Hun reported the blackmail attempt to the police. Shortly afterward, Korean media reported that the two twenty-something blackmailers were members of the industry, and started to suggest that it was GLAM's Dahee and a model. GLAM's company shortly confirmed that Dahee was involved, and that they were unable to reach her.

Dahee and her co-conspirator were arrested after Dahee acknowledged her role in the blackmailing, and apologized.

Korean television has leaked part of the rumored blackmail video, which appears to show lewd comments. Lee Byung Hun has had a colorful past, with several dating rumors in the past, but this is the first incident since his marriage in 2014 to Lee Min Jung.

Dahee was last seen promoting with Glam in 2013, when she also appeared in the drama Monstar. Lee Byung Hun will appear in the upcoming Terminator film.

Park Shin Hye has confirmed she will be returning to dramaland in upcoming SBS drama Pinocchio.

Park Shin Hye already boasts an impressive resume of leading roles in dramas like You’re Beautiful and The Heirs as well as a number of films, and it looks like the starlet is set to make waves once more.

Pinocchio is about a young reporter who suffers from ‘Pinocchio syndrome’ or hiccups every time she tells a lie

Lee Jong Suk, Kim Young Kwang and Lee Yubi are all in talks to join the drama, which is aiming for a November premiere, as well.

2NE1 Included On YouTube's 'Evolution Of Girl Groups' Playlist

2NE1 are apparently living up to the title of their song "I Am the Best" with their most recent achievement.

Recently, YouTube released a playlist called "The Evolution of Girl Groups." Amongst names like Destiny's Child, Spice Girls and TLC, 2NE1's 2011 hit "I Am the Best" was included in the streaming video website's playlist.

"Even before the dawn of rock 'n' roll, girl groups have been a massive force in pop music, and they still are," read the official YouTube playlist description.

"The list consists of 20 girl groups from around the world, including TLC, Spice Girls, Destiny's Child, Little Mix, Pussycat Dolls, and Fifth Harmony," tweeted 2NE1Playlist on Twitter. "2NE1 were on the list with 'I Am the Best.'"

But 2NE1 are not unaccustomed to receiving international recognition.

Last month, "I Am the Best" was chosen to be featured on Microsoft's new commercial, utilized as a subtle jab toward the company's competitor, Apple.

The hit song accompanied the promotional video for Microsoft's new Surface Pro 3 tablet laptop as compared to Apple's Macbook Air. The commercial will air on television for six months while the song will accompany the video on the Internet and other media for a year.

In addition, Billboard also named the YG Entertainment group one of the top 10 K-pop girl groups readers need to know back in April, even going as far as to compare it to the Rolling Stones.

Earlier in the year, 2NE1 made history by releasing the highest-charting record for all K-pop acts on the Billboard 200 with "Crush."

Currently, 2NE1 are busy promoting their "All or Nothing" world tour, with one final concert set for Guanzhou, China on Sept. 20.
